- Reservations and advanced arrangements;
- Animal behaviour
- Documentation
- Container and crating requirements
- Marking and labelling
- Handling procedures
- Cargo agents
- Freight forwarders
- Airlines and cargo training specialists
- Cargo operations managers and frontline supervisors
After thorough study and use of this course the student will:
- Deal with all aspects regarding the safe transportation of AVI including the regulations and processes of the IATA LAR 2021.
The International Air Transport Association (IATA) is not a regulatory body, but airline members of the Association are obliged to ensure IATA’s Live Animals Regulations (LAR) are followed. As such, IATA’s LAR has become the worldwide standard for transporting live animals by commercial airlines, and supranational and national regulating bodies reference it. As well as providing guidance for airlines, the LAR is used by shippers, freight forwarders, and animal care professionals
